Product & Sales Disclaimer
Each SCC Woodworks piece is made from real, natural wood and is inherently unique. Grain pattern, color, knots, spalting, mineral streaks, live edges, bark inclusions, checks, cracks, voids, insect markings, and other natural characteristics may vary from piece to piece. These characteristics are part of the natural beauty and individuality of the wood and are not considered defects.
Unless otherwise stated in the individual product listing, you are purchasing an unfinished piece of natural wood. Additional drying, acclimation, sanding, flattening, filling, finishing, fabrication, or other preparation may be required depending on the intended use of the piece.
Kiln drying and professional finishing services are available for most pieces. If you would like your selection transformed into a finished piece for your home or business, please contact SCC Woodworks for available options, pricing, timelines, and additional details.
Natural wood responds to changes in temperature, humidity, and moisture. Even properly dried wood may expand, contract, develop additional checking, cup, bow, twist, or otherwise move as it acclimates to a new environment. SCC Woodworks cannot guarantee that solid wood will remain completely unchanged over time.
All measurements, thicknesses, moisture readings, and dimensions are approximate unless specifically stated otherwise. Live-edge pieces in particular may vary in width and thickness throughout the board.
We make every effort to accurately represent our products through photographs and descriptions. However, color, grain, texture, and overall appearance may vary due to lighting, photography, screen settings, finishing, and the natural characteristics of the wood. Please contact us before purchasing if exact dimensions, coloring, grain characteristics, moisture content, or other specific details are important to your project.
Final Sale Policy
All wood products and custom orders are final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges.
Because natural wood is unique and many of our products are one-of-a-kind, customers are responsible for reviewing product photographs, descriptions, measurements, and specifications before purchasing. Natural characteristics, color variation, checking, knots, grain differences, live-edge irregularities, or normal wood movement are not grounds for return or refund.
Custom work, kiln drying, finishing, fabrication, milling, cutting, surfacing, or other services performed at the customer's request are also non-refundable once work has begun.
If you believe you received the wrong item or your order was damaged during shipment, please contact SCC Woodworks promptly so we can review the situation. Any remedies will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the individual sale.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for determining whether a particular piece of wood is suitable for their intended project or application. Wood intended for furniture, countertops, cabinetry, construction, outdoor use, or other specialized applications may require additional drying, acclimation, finishing, sealing, engineering, installation, or professional fabrication.
SCC Woodworks recommends allowing wood to properly acclimate to its final environment before fabrication or installation.
By purchasing from SCC Woodworks, the customer acknowledges and accepts the natural characteristics and variations inherent in solid wood products and agrees to the terms stated above.
